I think that prenatal testing and counselling must always be made mandatory for every woman so that there can be preparedness for the new child to be born in a healthy way. This is because there can be issues with the fetus which the pregnant woman might know. However, after the conduction of a prenatal testing, there will be new insights gained not only by the pregnant woman but also by the doctor treating the woman (Bailey, 2020). If there is diabetes in the body of a pregnant woman, that disease can be cured or eliminated as much as possible by proper medication (Bailey, 2020).
